Stop asking for refunds (read this first) [TMR #055]
Ever notice how the people who ask for refunds are usually the ones who never actually tried the product?
Just had a situation that perfectly illustrates this.
Guy comes to me 9 months ago. Pays for 6 months of unlimited access to me. And I mean UNLIMITED:
1:1 coaching
Done-for-you SOPs
Resources
Training
The whole nine
All he has to do is ask.
Premium stuff. Not cheap.
I gave him this deal because I saw massive potential. The kind that makes you excited to wake up and coach someone.
But guess what…
He ignored the roadmap
Winged it with verbal agreements
Took on random, un-scalable work
Never settled on an offer
Basically did everything I told him not to do
He was making every rookie mistake I made 10 years ago.
You know... the exact stuff he paid me to help him avoid.
Then the questions stopped.
Then the calls stopped.
Then radio silence.
He finally reached out to me wondering what was next. I was excited to get his message!
Gave him my booking link — then nothing happened.
Crickets.
Reached out again. More crickets.
Now? 9 months into a 6-month engagement?
"Hey Wes, can I get a refund?"
Let me tell you something about success:
Success doesn't come with a money-back guarantee.
Let's look at some numbers:
82% of successful entrepreneurs lost money on their first venture [1]
The average millionaire has failed at 3.2 businesses before hitting it big [2]
90% of startups fail - and those founders don't get refunds [3]
Here's what successful people do when they lose money:
Elon Musk lost $180M of his PayPal money on Tesla/SpaceX [4]
Steve Jobs lost $645M before turning Apple around [5]
I lost $30k in a business deal gone wrong
None of us asked for refunds.
We got better. Not bitter.
If you're looking for guarantees, you're not ready for success
If you're planning your exit before you start, you've already failed
If you think paying for something automatically fixes your problems, you're delusional
Success isn't a product you can buy. It's a result you earn.
I've spent multiple six-figures on coaching, courses, workshops, and training.
Never asked for a single refund.
Why?
Because I know something most don't:
The money isn't in the information. It's in the implementation.
Your job isn't to buy success. Your job is to earn it.
Stop looking for refunds. Start looking for results.
Your move.
